Global Farmland Pool aims to generate attractive and stable returns through income and capital gains by investing in open-ended portfolio funds. These funds invest directly in farmland or indirectly through property companies.
Although the fund can invest worldwide, the grand majority of assets will be located in North America, Oceania or Europe. The land the fund, indirectly, invests in will be used for farming only (growing either annual (arable) crops or growing permanent crops).
Global Farmland Pool has a core/core plus character, which means that (i) most of the land will be leased to a farmer who will typically pay a rent after the harvest season ends (ii) the use of leverage will be limited and (iii) operational risks (such as development or land transformation) will be limited.

This fund is only available for professional investors.

The manager will make drawdowns to fund investments, for the payment of fees or for other purposes. Drawdowns shall be made in respect of the commitments made by the participants that were accepted at the earliest closing on a pro rata basis (i.e. pro rata their commitments made at such closing) in priority to commitments made by participants at any later closings.
After the lock-up of 5 years, participants may apply on an annual basis for the redemption of all or part of his units in the fund. However, participants should be aware that it is not guaranteed that redemption requests will be executed in their entirety and that it may occur that redemption requests are executed partly or not at all. The remaining part of the redemption requests will be cancelled.

Het Fonds valt onder de reikwijdte van artikel 6 SFDR, hetgeen inhoudt dat het Fonds geen ecologische of sociale kenmerkten promoot noch duurzame belegging als doelstelling heeft. De informatieverschaffing over duurzaamheid voor het Fonds is opgenomen in het prospectus van het Fonds en onder https://www.kempen.com/en/asset-management/esg , in overeenstemming met artikel 6 en 7 SFDR.
