Kempen wins ICGN Global Stewardship Award
Kempen Capital Management (Kempen) is the winner of the ICGN Global Stewardship Disclosure Awards in the Asset Managers <$ 60bn AuM category. This award is a recognition of innovation and excellence for Kempen's stewardship initiatives, such as engagement policies and disclosures in the Annual Stewardship and Responsible Investment Report.
The International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN), a global investor led body that promotes effective standards of corporate governance and investor stewardship, presents the award annually. The jury particularly praised how Kempen integrates stewardship policies into its investment approach and reporting, and demonstrated this by the use of engagement case studies and active ownership reporting.
Narina Mnatsakanian, Director Sustainable & Impact Investment, Kempen Capital Management, said: “Through our ‘real active’ approach to stewardship we aim to use our influence to positively change corporate behavior for the benefit of all stakeholders and to help deliver long term value to our clients. We are honored to receive this important award from ICGN, which is a great endorsement of the work of all our colleagues involved in stewardship. We are keen to adhere to high standards of transparency and disclosure, something we also require of our investees, and we strive for continuous improvement.”
