PRI awards Kempen with an ‘A+’ and ‘A’
PRI (United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment) assesses the integration of ESG factors into the overall investment process, broken down by modules. Each module houses a number of ‘standard indicators’ (such as having a policy in place, for instance) on which organizations should report. Reporting on all of these indicators will yield a score of ‘B’. Besides these, there are additional indicators that organizations can report on (for example, the use of specific tools to identify CO2 emission risks and opportunities), but reporting on these indicators is not mandatory. Reporting on these indicators does show that the organization concerned has reached an advanced stage of implementing ESG principles within the various asset classes.
The Summary Scorecard shows the various modules, the average scores as well as our score. The lowest score that can be achieved is ‘E’, while the highest score is ‘A+’.
As you can see from the picture, Kempen scores higher than sector average in almost all of the modules. In addition, Kempen achieved an A+ in both Strategy & Governance and Fixed Income and Listed Equity.
