Hot in Healthcare

The life sciences and healthcare industry is in flux. With technology and innovation reshaping the boundaries of health and healthcare, how do you remain ahead of the curve? How can you add value and contribute to a healthier system?

Hot in Healthcare 2019, organised by Baker McKenzie in collaboration with Kempen, is a Benelux healthcare event to share knowledge, (re)connect and find out what’s hot in healthcare.

The morning session (Life Sciences Dealmakers) kicked off with keynote speaker Rudi Pauwels in an interview with Jan de Kerpel from Kempen, and offered the opportunity to schedule 1-on-1s with investors. During workshops with speakers like Edwin Moses, scale-ups, investors, VC firms and industry players (pharma and medtech), the morning also addressed the latest topics in today’s and tomorrow’s deal making.

In the second part (Future of Healthcare), key topics included sustainability of healthcare companies, covering circularity, artificial intelligence and regulatory challenges. Lucien Engelen delivered the keynote speech. In the legacy of last year’s ‘coalition of the doing,’ we gathered stakeholders from across the spectrum to inspire and find common ground on how to make healthcare future proof.
