Cookies

A cookie is a text file that contains a small amount of data, which is downloaded and stored on to your device’s memory when you access our website. Cookies have several uses, allowing our website to recognise your device when you visit again. Kempen’s website uses cookies as per below.

What are cookies for?

A cookie ensures that users of a website are distinguished from each other, which makes websites easier to use. Cookies, for instance, ensure that your settings are remembered, such as location and language settings. Website owners can also use cookies to collect information about the use of the website in order to optimise the site. Furthermore, some cookies make it possible to track your surfing behavior to improve your experience.

We divide cookies into three different categories: functional, analytical and marketing cookies.
Functional cookies
Functional cookies help making the performance of a website better, by loading basic functions such as page navigation. Without these cookies the website cannot work properly.

Analytical cookies
These statistical cookies help us understand how visitors use our website, by collecting and reporting data anonymously. We use this information to improve our website.

Marketing cookies
Marketing cookies are used to track visitors when they visit different websites. Their goal is to display relevant information tailored to and relevant to the individual user.

How long does a cookie store the data that has been collected?
In the overview below you can see in the Due date column per cookie how long this cookie stores data. All data is anonymous. Cookies in the marketing cookies category do recognize repeat visits by means of a unique ID. This category contains both first party cookies and third party cookies. Kempen itself places first party cookies. Third party cookies are placed by third parties, this makes it possible for you to see an advertisement from Kempen during an online visit to a third party website.

Can I disable cookies?
Yes, you can choose to disable marketing cookies. You can do this at the top of the page by clicking on the "Change cookie setting" button.  This does not apply to functional and analytical cookies. We think it is important that our website is user-friendly and therefore it is not possible to turn this function off.

Adjust cookie settings via your browser
Cookies are stored on your computer. If you do not want websites to place cookies on your computer, you can adjust the settings of your browser so you receive a warning before cookies are placed. You can also adjust the settings so your browser rejects all cookies or only third-party cookies. You can also delete cookies that have already been placed. Please, note that you must adjust the settings separately for each browser and computer that you use.

Be aware that if you don’t wish to accept cookies, the website may no longer function optimally and you won’t be able to use all the functionalities of the website. Cookies ensure that the website displays properly.
